A night of improvised music featuring Horseman, Pass By and the debut performance from trio Dan Loughrin, Jill McKenna, and Joe Sorbara.

Horseman, Pass By is a Havelock/Ottawa/Hamilton-based trio of Bennett Bedoukian (Drums and Electronics), Mark Molnar (Cello and Electronics), and Connor Bennett (Saxophones and Electronics) whose music is firmly rooted in improvisation, free-jazz, post-punk, and experimental music. Their individual development across three communities intersects and coalesces in this fertile merging of ecstatic and spontaneous mutations of sonic exploration.

In a kind of lopsided musical first meeting, the established duo of longtime friends Dan Loughrin and Joe Sorbara are joined for the first time by double bassist Jill McKenna. You know Dan and Joe as community-engaged Guelves who make music happen in myriad ways. Originally from Hamilton, Jill is recently arrived in Guelph via New York City and Nelson, BC (This is normally a short, 45 minute drive).
