November 15th, 2025 Doors: 7:30 PM Show: 8:00 PM Sam Wilson is an acclaimed guitarist/composer based in Halifax/Kjipuktuk, Nova Scotia/Mi’kma’ki. Blending finger-style guitar and improvisation, her practice is inspired by natural spaces and site specific responses evident by her forthcoming album Sowing Spring and 2024 release Wintertides. Notable recent performances include the Halifax, Vancouver, Victoria and Calgary jazz festivals and the Open Waters Festival. Featured on CBC’s Saturday Night Jazz with Laila Biali and reviewed by The Whole Note, Rhythm Changes, Jazzmania and CultureJazz among others, she has been described as “an original voice” (Yves Dorison), “highly unusual… but never seems to get old in the listening” (Rick Anderson), and “able to highlight the beauty of nature” (Mario Borroni). Incorporating elements of folk, contemporary chamber work and pastoral jazz, the improviser is at the forefront of her writing. Friday October 24th Doors: 7:30 PM Show: 8:00 PM $20/NOTAFLOF Jon Collin Collin, who currently lives in Stockholm, plays his guitar with a similar disregard for incidental sound, audibly knocking the slide against the neck and occasionally moaning along with his swooping licks. Anyone who has heard the early recordings of Loren MazzaCane Connors will note the similarity, but Collin turns these tools to different expressive ends. Connor’s voice conveyed existential panic, late-night terror at the thought that he might be truly alone. Collin, on the other hand, seems to be expressing small but real comfort. The water and rocks and all the outdoors sounds that his microphone picks up on these six tracks, which were recorded near a lake in Bromma, Sweden, may not care about Collin, but he sounds at ease in their presence.   (Feeding Tube) East of the Valley Blues Toronto musician Kevin Cahill has already amassed…

January 31st, 2026 Coming together under unusual circumstances, the members of piano trio We Three found a common thread in their mutual appreciation for pianist Phineas Newborn. They quickly decided to add Newborn’s entire 1958 album We Three to their repertoire, a classic piano trio record that features Roy Haynes and Paul Chambers. Since then, Josh Smiley on piano, Bennett Young on bass and Ilios Steryannis on drums have added other composers to their playlist, including Oscar Pettiford, Benny Golson, and the late and dearly missed Toronto musician Julia Cleveland.

An intimate concert with internationally celebrated songwriter and music-maker Selina Martin, and longtime friend, Guelph-based exceptional guitar-player / adventurous songwriter Nick Zubeck. SELINA MARTIN Imagine if Bjork and PJ Harvey had a Canadian love child raised on Joni Mitchell. Selina Martin’s sound is raw, honest, and fiercely feminine, with a stage presence that’s pure rock and roll energy. Highly acclaimed Canadian touring and recording artist / songwriter Selina Martin has independently released 5 albums that have been variously described by critics as “intelligent”, “brave”, “masterful”, “must-hear”, “provocative”, “remarkable”, “profound”, “genius”, and compared to Björk, PJ Harvey, Peter Gabriel, St. Vincent, and Talking Heads. “Time Spent Swimming” – her latest album – fuses organic instrumentation, electronic instruments, samples, field recordings, and synths in a buoyant expansion of genres that has been described as “beyond category”. It has received overwhelming acclaim in North America and Europe, and it debuted at number 1…

August 21st Doors: 8:00PM Show: 8:30PM $15/PWYC TICKETS HERE MASSEY Massey is the brainchild of a quiet mastermind whose fingerprints are already on some of Canada’s most iconic sounds. A longtime collaborator of Charlotte Day Wilson and a contributor to Daniel Caesar’s acclaimed Freudian and Pilgrim’s Paradise, Massey describes his sound as “Vapourwave Sonic Youth”. His music is ethereal, expansive, and deeply original—songs that feel both immediate and timeless, bending genre, emotion, and expectation into something you don’t just listen to—you absorb. ANNA WIEBE Anna Wiebe’s songwriting stands alone, supported by her resonant vocals, rich harmonies and simplistic folk instrumentation. In 2022, Wiebe deepened her songwriting and composition, and she recruited the expertise of Dan Edmonds and Jason Bhattacharya to help her bring to life a 3-song EP, What I Found.  She is currently working on a cover album of her father, John Wiebe’s songwriting, expected in 2026. She is continuously working at her own songwriting…
