An intimate concert with internationally celebrated songwriter and music-maker Selina Martin, and longtime friend, Guelph-based exceptional guitar-player / adventurous songwriter Nick Zubeck. SELINA MARTIN Imagine if Bjork and PJ Harvey had a Canadian love child raised on Joni Mitchell. Selina Martin’s sound is raw, honest, and fiercely feminine, with a stage presence that’s pure rock and roll energy. Highly acclaimed Canadian touring and recording artist / songwriter Selina Martin has independently released 5 albums that have been variously described by critics as “intelligent”, “brave”, “masterful”, “must-hear”, “provocative”, “remarkable”, “profound”, “genius”, and compared to Björk, PJ Harvey, Peter Gabriel, St. Vincent, and Talking Heads. “Time Spent Swimming” – her latest album – fuses organic instrumentation, electronic instruments, samples, field recordings, and synths in a buoyant expansion of genres that has been described as “beyond category”. It has received overwhelming acclaim in North America and Europe, and it debuted at number 1…

August 21st Doors: 8:00PM Show: 8:30PM $15/PWYC TICKETS HERE MASSEY Massey is the brainchild of a quiet mastermind whose fingerprints are already on some of Canada’s most iconic sounds. A longtime collaborator of Charlotte Day Wilson and a contributor to Daniel Caesar’s acclaimed Freudian and Pilgrim’s Paradise, Massey describes his sound as “Vapourwave Sonic Youth”. His music is ethereal, expansive, and deeply original—songs that feel both immediate and timeless, bending genre, emotion, and expectation into something you don’t just listen to—you absorb. ANNA WIEBE Anna Wiebe’s songwriting stands alone, supported by her resonant vocals, rich harmonies and simplistic folk instrumentation. In 2022, Wiebe deepened her songwriting and composition, and she recruited the expertise of Dan Edmonds and Jason Bhattacharya to help her bring to life a 3-song EP, What I Found.  She is currently working on a cover album of her father, John Wiebe’s songwriting, expected in 2026. She is continuously working at her own songwriting…

Comedian and storyteller Justin Shaw is a rising star of comedy often compared to a “slightly caffeinated Stuart McLean.” He is originally from Prince Edward Island (and if you’re also from Prince Edward Island, his dad probably knows your dad.) Shaw returns to Guelph with HAVE JOKES, WILL TRAVEL – a collection of hilarious new tales that celebrate the experience of being an Islander on the mainland. Filled with lots of laughs and lots of heart, this show is perfect for a night out with friends and family looking to enjoy the absurdities of Canada and all that makes it true north, strong, and freakin’ ridiculous.
